What is Apostille?

Apostille is nothing but the authentication procedure for public documents to be internationally recognized. If anyone looking forward to going overseas, that time public documents should be authorized. This procedure usually takes a long time. For that reason, the Apostille was introduced to speed up and simplify the authentication procedure. The apostille procedure is only for those people who's going for that country which is part of the Hague Convention.

What is Apostille?

If we talk about apostille as a single term, it is a French word and the meaning is  “Certification”.

Fundamentally, document apostille is a way of ensuring the credibility of the documents.

When you apostille a document, the stamp or sticker obtained from the authority. Public documents get signature or stamp from the authorized department. That stamp is obtained from the authority which is provided on the back of documents. The stamp has a unique identification number, which maintains all the records online and allows the concerned authorities to check all the details in a suitable manner. After getting an apostille from MEA i.e. Ministry Of External Affairs, there is no need to get any other kind of document authentication from the embassy. The process of authentication or legalization is called apostillisation.

When is Apostille Required?

Apostille is a legalization procedure, It is required when someone is looking forward to visiting or deal with any foreign country part of the Apostille Hague Convention. It could necessitate for: Pursuing education on a student visa, Employment visa or Work visa, Temporary or Permanent Residency, Business expansion with Foreign Countries i.e importing or exporting products. These are the important aspects which comprise in the process of apostillisation.
