attestation is original documents and certificates verification from
the respective countries embassy. It is the stepwise verification
procedure which simply depends upon the document origin of the state
of India. The documents are categorized into three main categories

The
procedure for Apostille attestation is as follows:
- Regional Level is the first level of the document apostille process. In this level of authentication done by the notary or the University from where the certificate was issued.
- State Government is the second level of the apostille procedure. The authentication of certificates from the state is performed by three different departments that are
- State Home Department (SHD),
- Human Resource Department (HRD),
- Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM).
- Apostille is the final level of apostille and is conducted by the central government. the MEA paste a sticker which contains the name and information of the applicant.
The
procedure of Embassy Attestation is as follows:
- Regional Level: The embassy attestation begins with this step. At this step, the personal and educational documents get verified by the notary. In some circumstances, educational certificates by the university and commercial documents get verified by the Chamber of Commerce as per their type and from where the documents were issued.
- State Level: It is the second step of the document in the attestation procedure. At this step, the document gets confirmed by the three organizations that are the
- State Home Department (SHD),
- Human Resource Department (HRD),
- Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM).
- Ministry of External Affairs Stamp: It is the third step of certificate attestation procedure. In this, the document gets checked by the MEA Authority and stamp by the Ministry of External Affairs of India.
- Embassy Attestation: It is the last step of the certificate attestation. In this, the embassy pastes the stamp on the behind the certificate.
