How to apply for Bahrain Attestation?

Bahrain Attestation

The island country of Bahrain is beautiful and is known for its cosmopolitanism.
People from across the world travel to Bahrain for education,
employment and even for business.
Well, there are certain formalities that are to be carried out in the
process and one of the most important ones is obtaining Bahrain attestation on your documents.

What is Bahrain Attestation?

The most familiar understanding of attestation is obtaining a stamp
from the notary on the respective document.
However, Bahrain attestation or any kind of international
attestation is not limited to the notary.
There are several departments involved that are higher than the notary.

Levels of Bahrain Attestation

As mentioned previously, there are several levels of legalization that are
involved in the process of Bahrain attestation. The levels are listed as follows:
Level 1: Regional Level
It is the beginning of the certificate attestation process.
This level of legalization can be done by the notary or the University from
where the documents were issued, as per the requirement.
Level 2: State Level
The authentication of certificates from the state is
performed by three different departments as per the requirement of
the document type. These departments are the State Home Department (SHD),
Human Resource Department (HRD), and the Sub-Divisional
Magistrate (SDM). SDM is independent of the state government,
yet, the legalization performed by this authority is considered on the state level.
Level 3: Central Level
MEA or Ministry of External Affairs is the last
level of authentication from the home government
at the central level after which an MEA stamp or sticker is applied to the document.
Bahrain embassy attestation is carried out by the
officials of the respective country the
documents are being attested for. It is the final step of the verification
for most countries after the Ministry of External Affairs.
Level 5: Foreign Affairs
In most cases, the attestation procedure ends at the
embassy level. However, in the case of countries
that are a part of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC),
attestation by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) is also mandated.

Attestation from agents

Normally, the process seems quite complicated and
confusing to be carried out individually. Also, the MEA and the
Embassy do not accept individual applications. Therefore, the application for the
Bahrain embassy attestation is to be made through an
attestation agent. Plus, approaching through an agent will also ensure
that there are minimal errors in the process and you get your legalized documents in time.
